  • Proof of funds - If someone else is going to 'sponsor' you, they need to go to the German embassy, with all their docs, and get a "Verpflichtungserklärung" or a formal obligation letter. This will have to be submitted along with your application.
  • Valid passport with a validity of at least 12 months
